Immaculate Conception Parish is an Apostolate of the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter (FSSP) in the Diocese of Colorado Springs. Thus, the Parish uses the liturgical books that were in force in 1962. All parochial Sacraments are available according to the "Extraordinary" form of the Roman Rite, or the Traditional/Tridentine Latin Mass. These rights are granted to the members of the FSSP as well as to other priests staying in the houses of the Fraternity or exercising their sacred ministry in the churches of the Fraternity.
There will be a prayer vigil outside the Colorado Springs Planned Parenthood from 8:00 a.m.—2:30 p.m. on January 20. Participants are to meet at Corpus Christi where shuttles will take them to and from the vigil. After this, there will be Adoration and Mass with the bishop at Corpus Christi, as well.
There is a State House Sponsored Bill (HB 20-1063) going through the House Committee for Colorado. This Bill is titled, “Concerning Fundamental Family Rights in Colorado.” It defines parental rights as the right to direct the upbringing, education, and care of a parent’s child and establishes parental rights as a fundamental right in Colorado. This is the Natural Law Rights of parents, yet, some congressmen in this state wish to override God’s laws in this area as well. The United States Supreme Court has affirmed parental rights as a cornerstone to American jurisprudence. Please, contact your State Representative to emphasize your support for this bill.
