Immaculate Conception Parish is an Apostolate of the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter (FSSP) in the Diocese of Colorado Springs. Thus, the Parish uses the liturgical books that were in force in 1962. All parochial Sacraments are available according to the "Extraordinary" form of the Roman Rite, or the Traditional/Tridentine Latin Mass. These rights are granted to the members of the FSSP as well as to other priests staying in the houses of the Fraternity or exercising their sacred ministry in the churches of the Fraternity.
Those wishing to do the Consecration to Our Lady, according to the Method of St. Louis de Montfort, we will be doing it as a Parish on December 8th. The 33-day consecration began on November 5th. The books for this consecration can be purchased on the site listed on the bulletin board in the vestibule.
On Saturday, Dec. 9, a Sung Mass will commence at 6:00 a.m. Confessions will be at 5:30 a.m.
This is a First Class Feast in this Diocese. It is not a Holy Day of Obligation, but it is a great Feast in honor of Our Lady. We will be offering 2 Masses on Tuesday, Dec. 12, 8:00 a.m. and 6:00p.m.
On this day, Dec. 16, we will prepare spiritually for the Holy Day of Christ’s Birth. The schedule will be posted on the bulletin boards throughout the Parish. The whole day will be spent in silence. Please bring your own breakfast and lunch. The recollection will begin with Mass at 8:00 a.m., and last until about 3:00 p.m. after the final blessing and las conference.
This day falls on a Monday this year. It is a Holy Day of Obligation. There will be no potluck after the 10:30 a.m. Mass on Christmas Eve (Sunday). The Christmas Day Masses will be at Midnight, 8:00 a.m., and 10:30 a.m.
We need volunteers to serve as hostesses for the 10:30 a.m. post-Mass brunch. If you could please help out, please contact Mrs. Jill Demian at 719-579-9439 or via email at JMDemian@aol.com.
We are also looking for volunteers to help clean the main level bathrooms on the first or third weekend of the month. If you could please help out, please contact Mrs. Jennifer Villalobos at 719-597-6223 or via email email@example.com.
